AmaWaterways, who host wine-themed river cruise sailings through Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhine Valley and other renowned winemaking regions, have added to their list of offerings for 2018. AmaWaterways will now offer more than 50 wine-themed itineraries, an increase of 16 sailings from 2016 and 33 more than in 2015.

The river cruise line has always had a great recipe for wine lovers, combining lectures, tastings, cellar visits, and meetings with local winemakers. In recent years, AmaWaterways began employing North American-based winemakers, owners, and oenologists onboard to capitalize on their already robust following in the US.

Now, for the 2018 season, AmaWaterways has decided to focus on husband-and-wife co-owners. Joining guests next year will be Martin and Megan Clubb of L’Ecole N 41 in Walla Walla, WA and Paul and Merrill Bonarrigo, who founded Messina Hof Winery and were instrumental in resurrecting winemaking in Texas. Also on hand will be Amelia Ceja, who is the first Mexican-American woman to be named president of a winery (Ceja Vineyards, Napa, CA).

These North American-based experts will share their expertise and guidance with guests throughout the 2018 river cruise season.
