AmaWaterways announced last month that its popular Wellness Program will be expanding to six more ships in 2018. AmaWaterways was the first in the industry to offer bicycles onboard and will continue its leadership in active cruising through its new Wellness Program. Guests onboard can enjoy morning stretches, jogging, yoga, cardio/core strengthening, resistance band workouts, and circuit training. Discussion groups complement the activities, focusing on healthy eating and relaxation techniques. Staying active is an important part of many guests’ lifestyles, and now AmaWaterways is making it easy for them to remain healthy during their travels.
AmaWaterways’ Wellness Hosts will lead the Wellness Program’s onboard AmaLyra, AmaCerto, AmaPrima, AmaSonata, AmaDante and AmaDolce. Guests onboard one of these six ships are encouraged to pack a bathing suit, comfortable exercise clothes, and appropriate shoes. Once aboard, guests have access to a variety of state- of-the-art fitness equipment, along with bikes, helmets, and Nordic walking sticks, but AmaWaterways doesn’t stop there!
In addition to new hydration stations and vitamin shots, healthy meals will be available at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition to gluten-free, low-sodium and vegetarian options, guests will enjoy sustainable food options like fresh fish, cage-free eggs, and crate-free pork. There are plenty of ways for guests to burn off extra calories or to simply enjoy adding healthier options to balance their meals. Whether guests want to enjoy a hearty Goulash when sailing in Germany or opt for a lighter, tasty vegetarian meal, they can take great satisfaction knowing that the choice is theirs.
