Since our inception in 2001, GSM has built itself from the ground up with a core focus on being an alternative to the mega global agencies that frequently tend to steer their global clients into a “boxed” program and set processes.
From inception, GSM’s Board of Directors set a strategic initiative to select one single agency in each market, with similarly shared business philosophies. The reason for this approach was that, when GSM started to expand globally, we found that there was truly no single way of managing travel across multiple countries. Each market has individual nuances, and travel needs to be tailored to each specific country. By managing travel at the local level, GSM is able to service clients in the local time zones and guide effectively on best practices for their individual regions – something that cannot be achieved by boxing multiple countries into a single call center. Additionally, our local providers can leverage their vendor relationships to pass along best practices and drive negotiations in their respective markets.

It was imperative for us to source a single global travel solution that was consistent in its approach but also sensitive to the differences in requirements and travel patterns that existed between our offices worldwide.
