Norwegian Banning Carry-On Liquids

As of July 15th, Norwegian Cruise Line has a new carry-on liquid policy. According to a company statement, all liquids – including bottled water, sodas, liquor, beer, and juice – are forbidden from being brought on board in either carry-on or checked luggage. The only exceptions will be bottled wine and purified bottled water to be used for baby formula. The ban includes initial departure and all port calls, meaning guests will need to finish any beverages bought on land before returning to the ship. NCL cited security as the main reason for the new policy, claiming the additional resources required to screen passengers bringing on liquids was severely delaying boarding times.
