Aloft Introduces Voice-Activated Room Controls

Voice-Activated Commands

Aloft Hotels, a Starwood Hotels & Resorts brand, is debuting voice activated commands at the Aloft Boston Seaport and the Aloft Santa Clara in the San Francisco Bay Area this week. Guests staying at either of these two properties will be able to adjust the room temperature, and check the weather by simply saying “Hey Siri.” Each room will be equipped with Apple iPads, allowing guests to talk to Siri and make their voice-activated commands. As of right now, Starwood hasn’t confirmed which, if any, properties will also be getting this cool feature.

Project Jetson

The voice activated room controls are part of Starwood’s “Project Jetson,” which includes other high-tech programs include Emoji-only room-service menus and a robotic butler, both found only at the Aloft Cupertino and the Aloft Silicon Valley properties.
