APP OF THE MONTH - CRYSTAL MOZART FOCUSES ON FRESH DINING

The Crystal Mozart is Crystal Cruises’ first river cruise, and it’s clear that dining is a focus, particularly fine dining. Plates can be described as small sculptures as they look more artistic than edible, but don’t be fooled; these works of art are delicious! Instead of building one main restaurant onboard the Mozart, Crystal decided to create a number of eateries, which gives guests a choice where to dine when they want. What is important to note is that on Mozart, guests aren’t getting pre-packaged frozen foods. Instead, the onboard culinary team purchases fresh local produce and proteins when the ship docks at its various ports. Breads, pastries, and ice cream are just some of the items that are made fresh in-house.

The Waterside is open for all three meals and is the Mozart’s signature dining space. Classic and regional dishes are available in a more casual setting in the mornings and afternoons and switches to formal in the evening. A casual restaurant, the Bistro, serves coffee, beverages, ice cream, and self-service snacks during the day. Like the Waterside, it becomes formal at night and serves local cuisine. The Pantry has self-service essentials like wine, coffee, water, and snacks. Blue is a casual lunchtime café and serves sandwiches, salads, and local specialties.
