DFW Airport’s K9 Crew

Long security lines and lengthy layovers can stress even the most frequent fliers. Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) is working to reduce travel stress with 12 furry friends! DFW Airport’s K9 Crew of twelve experienced therapy dogs and their handlers are a friendly, comforting presence in the terminal. Each dog is outfitted in an official DFW K9 Crew harness and is accompanied by a handler in a matching uniform.

Travelers can meet the dogs at designated interaction areas in Terminal B, before and after security. In addition to providing some much needed anxiety relief, the dogs and their handlers are available to assist with customer service, answering questions and providing directions.

If you find yourself at DFW, make sure to snap a photo of you and your new four-legged friend and share it on social media with the hashtag #dogsofDFW, in order to earn “DFW Terminal Bucks.” Also, ask the handler for a trading card; each dog has a collectable trading card that includes his/her name, age, weight, and training certifications.
