Carnival Cruise Line continues to see the life lessons imbedded in the works of the great Dr. Seuss and has made it a priority to show their young cruise passengers how to apply these teachings to everyday life.

Who knew kids would receive life lessons while on vacation? Carnival’s “Seuss at Sea” program offers children a chance to participate in a Seuss-themed parade, as well as hear an interactive reading of a Dr. Seuss story. Recently, the cruise line added “Horton Hears a Who!” to the mix, with new programming to remind children (and adults) to be kind to one another. Children and their families are asked to sign a “pledge to be kind,” which is displayed on a large banner onboard. Kids can also make friendship bracelets and other arts and crafts inspired by the beloved story of an elephant who desperately wants to protect the citizens of the fictional city of Whoville.

Not familiar with the story? Not to worry. There will be screenings of the 20th Century Fox film version starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell on each sailing!
