United Airlines (UA) has announced that it will offer nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and New Zealand’s Auckland Airport (AKL) beginning November 30, 2018.  The new service, aboard a Boeing 787-9, will be offered through United’s joint venture partner,  Air New Zealand (NZ).  The Chicago to Auckland flight will take approximately 16 hours, while the return segment will clock in at roughly 15 hours. In addition to the brand new Chicago offering, United will also change its seasonal service between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Auckland to a year-round product next year.  SFO-AKL flights will operate three times per week, year-round, beginning in April 2019.
