Beginning in April 2019, British Airways (BA) will fly non-stop from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR). This a welcomed addition for visitors to the Steel City, as previously passengers bound for Pittsburgh had to connect in either Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK) or Philadelphia (PHL). The new service will operate four times per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, and will offer three cabins: economy, premium economy, and business class. BA Flight 171 will depart LHR at 5:00 PM local time and arrive to PIT at 8:15 PM. BA Flight 170 will depart PIT at 9:50 AM local time and arrive to LHR’s Terminal 5 at 10:25 AM the following morning.
