Swiss Air Lines (LX) will debut a premium economy product on long-haul flights beginning in 2021. The premium economy cabin will initially be rolled out on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, and thanks to a $39 million investment, the airline hopes to eventually retro-fit its entire long-haul fleet.
Swiss Air’s premium economy product will feature a newly developed seat with additional legroom and extensive movement capabilities, allowing the airline to compete with existing products from Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa.
