SEA-TAC Unveils Upgrades to North Satellite Area

Background

After several years under construction, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) recently unveiled multiple upgrades to its North Satellite area. Construction is still taking place and has been since 2019. Phase 1 of the project wrapped up in 2019 and crews are currently in Phase 2, which is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

Passengers transiting the upgraded North Satellite area will notice higher ceilings with better lighting, along with the addition of stunning artwork from locally renowned artists.

In addition to aesthetic improvements, the North Satellite now features 12 remodeled gates with charging stations in between seating, new food and beverage options at Marketplace at N, and upgraded bathrooms that now use captured rainwater, saving the airport up to 2.8 million gallons of potable water each year.

Next time you’re venturing through SEA airport, don’t forget to check out these new improvements and sample some great meal, snack, and drink options in the North Satellite!
