Canada Relaxes Entry Requirements & Announces Lifting of Cruise Ship Ban

The Canadian government will allow entry to fully vaccinated US citizens and permanent residents beginning August 9.

Travelers from other international destinations who are fully vaccinated for a minimum of 14 days will be granted entry into Canada beginning September 7.

In addition to the welcomed announcement of allowing vaccinated US travelers into Canada via land borders and airports, Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra also announced that the ban on cruise ships, which had originally been in effect through February 1, 2022, will now be lifted early, on November 1, 2021.
