This year’s Carnevale di Venezia (Venice’s Carnival) will take place February 16 – March 5. Carnevale is a fan-favorite annual event replete with beautiful costumes and extravagant Venetian masks that transform the coastal city into a veritable wonderland. The festivities attract about 3 million visitors each year, making it the largest event in Venice.

The festival is a great opportunity to don a mask for fun and enjoy the live music in the open, public spaces of the city, particularly near the centrally-located St. Mark’s Square. Dazzling sequined costumes and masks around every corner make it the perfect backdrop to capture the perfect photo of the event.
