JOINING FORCES

Lufthansa, Swiss and Singapore Airlines are joining forces in order to stay competitive with their Gulf carrier rivals, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways. In order to do so, Lufthansa and Swiss will feed passengers from cities in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland to their hubs in Munich and Zurich. Once passengers land there, they’ll head to Singapore and onwards to Southeast Asia and Australasia with Singapore Airlines. Similarly, passengers departing Southeast Asia and Australasia will return to Zurich and Munich via Singapore. Once they reach Europe, they’ll continue with Lufthansa/Swiss Airlines. This cooperation will offer passengers a wider choice of routing and pricing options, as well as extensive coverage in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Southeast Asia and Australasia.
