faster speeds for NCL

Good news for Norwegian, Oceania, and Regent ships – an agreement with satellite provider EMC has been reached. The new agreement will enable the three cruise lines to significantly improve internet service and speed. By the end of this month, multimillion-dollar bandwidth and performance-boosting technology upgrades will be installed on all ships across the three brands. This work includes new satellite dishes and EMC’s SpeedNet software, which delivers popular websites at speeds that mimic high-speed fiber optic networks, similar to those available in homes and offices. The agreement also includes high-speed shore-side connectivity in key ports of call. By the end of this implementation, 23 of NCL’s ships will offer quadruple the previous amount of bandwidth.
