Crystal Unveiling its first River Ship

Introducing the Crystal Mozart, Crystal Cruises’ first river cruise ship entering service next month on July 13! The river ship was a former Peter Deilmann vessel; since it was acquired last year, the 158-passengers ship has undergone an extensive redesign. Interior design firms from London and Toronto have completely reimagined the ship’s interiors. The color palette is cream, gray, and white, accented by deep blue, green, and vibrant prints.

New amenity highlights include a pop-up bar area on the top deck, complete with a retractable movie screen for evening screenings outside, and a rooftop garden. There will also be two tender boats so that passengers can experience a more intimate exploration of Europe’s waterways.

King size beds will be in all of the ship’s suites, along with Nespresso machines, 40-inch flat-screen televisions, and marble bathrooms. Suite categories will include window suites, deluxe suites, penthouse suites, and a two-bedroom suite. Additionally, each suite class will also come with personal butler service.

Public areas include Waterslide, the main dining room with both indoor and outdoor space which will serve breakfast and lunch buffets, followed by an upscale dinner service in the evenings. For dancing and live entertainment, passengers can head to Palm Court, where they can also sip on cocktails and tea. For a sweet treat, passengers can visit the Bistro Mozart, which will serve pastries, fruit, snacks, coffee, espresso, and tea throughout the day.

Onboard, there will also be fitness, spa, and salon facilities at the Crystal Life Spa; for the first time on a Crystal ship, the spa will be operated and staffed by Crystal’s own crew. This area will also house an indoor pool, two treatment rooms, and sauna and steam rooms for men and women.
