Heading to New Orleans is Norwegian Cruise Line’s 4,000 passenger Norwegian Breakaway, one of the world’s biggest cruise ships. At 145,655 tons, Breakaway is the largest cruise vessel ever to sail from New Orleans. Operating a series of 7-, 10- and 11-day cruises to the Western Caribbean, Breakaway will reposition to New Orleans from the Baltic in the summer of 2018 and remain there until April 2019. Cozumel, Mexico; Costa Maya, Mexico; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; Roatan, Honduras; and Harvest Caye, Belize all are all on the ship’s ports of call.

New Orleans is no stranger to cruise ships; two Carnival ships sail out of the city, as well as riverboats that cruise the Mississippi River. Royal Caribbean also recently revealed it will resume cruises from New Orleans in late 2018.
