Jerusalem’s Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is now wheelchair accessible after more than a decade of work.

The sacred site’s narrow alleyways and steep inclines provided construction challenges to ensure access was friendly to those with mobility issues.

In addition to the new access and infrastructure, travelers can download Accessible JLM, which outlines the best routes around the city.

Improvements include more than just ramps, but new benches and handrails, to ensure all visitors have a pleasant, safe experience.
