Great news for cruise fans! Both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean have announced a return to service beginning in June. Royal Caribbean will have ships sailing from the Bahamas while Celebrity will have ships departing from St. Maarten.

Both cruise lines will offer Greece itineraries, too. Additionally, Crystal will begin sailing from Bimini in July. Reach out to your FROSCH Travel Advisor to make your summer cruise plans today before space fills up!

Insight into Sailing during a Pandemic
We all have read about all the ships that are NOT sailing; however, you may be surprised to learn that in some parts of the world, cruise lines have continued to sail successfully.

Royal Caribbean has been sailing 3- and 4-night cruises in Singapore since December. Hurtigruten has been sailing along the Norwegian Coast. And, MSC Cruises has had itineraries along the Mediterranean. Though the experience is quite different than pre-COVID days.

Cruisers wear masks on the dance floor, socially distance poolside, and get temperatures checked at meals. Loungers are sanitized often possibly by the ship’s crew in face shields and jumpsuits. And, staff is always near to remind guests of health and safety protocols. While these new health measures might be a drag for some, many guests continue to sail and make the best of it.
