Beginning May 1, 2021, travelers visiting The Islands of the Bahamas will no longer be required to produce a negative COVID-19 test result if they are fully vaccinated. This marks the first time a Caribbean country has waived testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.

ONE IMPORTANT POINT OF CLARIFICATION:
The Bahamas defines a fully vaccinated traveler as someone who has passed the two-week immunity period following their last vaccine dose.

Vaccinated travelers will still need to apply for The Bahamas Travel Health Visa and will be required to upload proof of vaccination with their application. They will also need to complete a daily health questionnaire each day they are in The Bahamas and continue to practice social distancing, wearing of face coverings, etc.

Unvaccinated travelers are still welcome in The Bahamas; however, those visitors will still need to produce a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than five days prior to arrival, apply for The Bahamas Travel Health Visa, and undergo another rapid antigen test if they’re staying in The Bahamas for longer than four nights and five days.
