Hilton Launching New Brand

Last week, Hilton Worldwide announced the launch of the Tapestry Collection; the hotel company’s 14th overall brand and the second addition to its collection brand portfolio . According to Hilton, the Tapestry Collection will be composed of existing independent upscale hotels. The new brand will operate in the luxury segment right below Hilton’s Curio Collection. Seven hotels have currently inked letters of intent to join the collection with another 35 hotels in the works. The first seven hotels are spread across the country with locations in Syracuse, New York, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Nashville. The first hotel in the collection is expected to undergo its conversion and open by the third quarter of 2017. Hilton’s goal is to grow the collection to 50 hotels by 2020.
