The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently cleared several airlines to again allow laptops and other electronic devices on aircraft bound for the United States from the Middle East and North Africa, effectively ending the US “Laptop Ban.” As of Wednesday, July 19, 2017, all airlines who were initially banned from allowing electronics on board have complied with directives set forth by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to allow for the transportation of laptops, tablets, and smartphones on flights to US airports.

Effective immediately, Emirates Airways (Dubai airport), Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi airport), Kuwait Airways (Kuwait City airport), Qatar Airways (Doha airport), Saudi Arabian Airlines (Jeddah and Riyadh airports), Turkish Airlines (Istanbul airport), and Royal Jordanian Airlines (Amman airport) are once again allowing passengers to bring electronic devices onboard flights from the above-listed airports to the United States.
