Following President Trump’s inauguration, the White House was closed to the public due to staffing shortages. Self-guided tours are now available between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM Tuesday through Thursday, and 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM Friday and Saturday; federal holidays are excluded. In order to take part in a self-guided tour, requests must be submitted at least 21 days in advance and as early as 3 months in advance. Tours are free of charge and can be requested through one’s Member of Congress.
